Date: 22.6. – 1.7.2018
Price: from USD 2529.00
This new trek is so majestic that we chose a special name for it - the Kings' Trek. Our newly-developed route connects the two kings of the Alps: the Eiger North Face and the Matterhorn. In 8-10 days, we will hike from the north face of the Eiger, crossing spectacular mountain passes and going through beautiful valleys, all the way to the Matterhorn above the village of Zermatt. Overnight lodging will include well-equipped mountain huts at about 2800 meters above sea level. Of special interest is hiking along what is perhaps the most enchanting mountain lake in Switzerland, Oeschinensee. We believe that the name of this trek reflects the quality of the trip - it combines a vigorous challenge with the wonderful landscape of Switzerland. We offer more than just an experience. We offer competence in the Swiss Alps.
2529.00 USD in double or multi-bed room
The price is valid for 10 participants. If only 8-9 participants sign up, they will incur an additional surcharge of 100.00 USD. If there are fewer than 8 participants, the trek will not take place.

This trek will be led by Jan Shai. He is an experienced trekking guide and is himself one of the co-developers of this tour. The trek is a challenging one. Good athletic skills are a prerequisite for this trek. The daily trekking time is about 5-7 hours.
From the airport we drive to Interlaken / Wilderswil. On the first evening we watch the film “Eiger North Wall” together. Hundreds of people have lost their lives climbing the Eiger North Wall and the Matterhorn.
We drive from Wilderswil by train to the Schynige Platte. Our first trek leads us along the Eiger North Wall and the Jungfraujoch (top of Europe). It is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Alps.
From Wilderswil we drive to Trümmelbach and look at the waterfall. Then we drive through Lauterbrunnen to Mürren and hike to the Rotstockhütte, a mountain cabin at 2000 meters above sea level where we stay overnight.
We walk from the Rotstockütte to the Gspalthornhütte. Our trek leads us through breathtaking mountain landscapes far away from all civilization.
In the morning we hike from the Gspaltenhornhütte to the Blümlisalhütte and then on to Kandersteg (7-8h). This day is the king stage. On the way to Kandersteg we walk along the Oeschinensee. It is perhaps the most beautiful mountain lake in Switzerland.
We take the cable car from Kandersteg to Sunnbüel and from there we hike over the Gemmi down to Leukerbad. After our check-in at our accommodation we enjoy the Leukerbad thermal baths. If we have a very physically fit group we can also hike together over the Lötschenpass. It is one of the old Alpine crossings.
After the transfer from Leukerbad to St. Nikolaus, we hike to Grächen and start on the Europtrail. Our destination is the Europahütte, a wonderful accommodation high in the mountains.
From the Europahütte we hike to Zermatt. On the way we will cross the largest suspension bridge in Europe. We will spend the night in Zermatt.
We take the cable car from Zermatt to Schwarzsee and hike from there on the glacier trail to the Trockener Steg. From there, it is possible to go to the highest point of Europe which is reachable by a mountain railway. (Not included in the price). The last evening we end by relaxing together.
